St.Peter's Church Parkstone
The Parish of St.Peter’s Parkstone lies in the heart of Poole and includes much of Lower Parkstone, the Civic Centre and Poole Park. St.Peter’s is a very large Victorian church which was built in response to the Oxford Movement. Its present day ethos is Liberal Catholic. Our second Parish Church is St.Mary’s on Brownsea Island. Scouting began on the Island and the Baden Powells were married in St.Peter’s. We are in partnership with Parkstone United Reform Church, with whom we have a formal Covenant as a Local Ecumenical Partnership.
We are a parish in the Deanery of Poole
