From the Civic Centre roundabout, take the Commercial Road towards Bournemouth. You will pass the Day Centre and the United Reform Church (on your right). As you go down the slope, you will reach traffic lights. Turn left into Parr Street and St.Peter's is the big church ahead of you.
Often the train stops at Parkstone. It is the last stop before Poole, coming from the Bournemouth direction. The station is indicated on the above map. Coming out of the station, you turn left and then immediately right (at the village green). You are then in Church Road. Follow this road. Across the main road, it then curves round to the left. You pass the new Christian Scientist building and then arrive at St.Peter's
From London
Come down the M3 and, when that runs out, continue towards Bournemouth and Poole. Once past Ringwood, turn left towards Bournemouth. Continue along the dual carriageway into Bournemouth and then, remaining on this road, towards Poole. Eventually this road narrows from a dual carriageway to a single road. You come to a large roundabout on which is a building, formerly the Frizzell Insurance Company, this is now called the Royal Liverpool Victoria. Go right round this roundabout and take the turning to Parkstone. Continue down this road, past (on your left) Tescos and then St.Aldhelm's church. At the next roundabout you turn left towards Lower Parkstone. Continuing along this road (Bournemouth Road) you pass (on your left) St.Joseph's RC church and then St.Osmund's church. Please note that there are two speed cameras on this road! Continuing down the hill you arrive in Lower Parkstone (The Village). The Post Office will be on your right. Move into the right-hand lane and turn right at the traffic lights (just before Lloyd's TSB). You are now in Springfield Road. If you carried on up the hill, you would find the Rectory on your left, just before the road curves to the left, with a red letter box outside. If you are going to St.Peter's Church, once you have turned right into Springfield Road, you immediately turn left into Church Road. You pass the Christian Science church on your left and then arrive at St.Peter's church. You can usually park in nearby roads, for which there is a two-hour parking limit, except at weekends and bank holidays.
